Role Overview:
The SENCO will oversee identification, assessment, and support for students with special educational needs and disabilities. You will work closely with teaching staff, parents, external specialists, and the senior leadership team to ensure tailored support and intervention strategies.
Key Duties:

Lead the SEND team and manage Learning Support Assistants

Coordinate statutory assessments and maintain up-to-date EHCPs and SEND registers
*
Develop whole-school inclusion strategies and provide staff training on SEND best practice
*
Monitor student progress, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and adjust approaches accordingly
*
Act as a key liaison with external agencies and families to promote holistic student support
Candidate Profile:

Qualified teacher status with a NASENCO qualification
