We have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate, friendly and patient focused individual to join our Admin Team. The post holder should demonstrate a caring and sensitive approach to their work and be able to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, patients, carers, the general public and representatives from other hospitals and organisations.
This is a full-time, fixed term or secondment opportunity working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8.45 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to provide a comprehensive service as part of the administration team. The Receptionist/Admin Assistant will provide the public face of the service, assisting service users, their families and carers, and all other professionals, as well as performing general reception duties, taking telephone calls, and using electronic systems with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring efficient and effective levels of service on a daily basis.
There will be extensive liaison with service users, GPs, clinical staff within the service and the general public, providing an excellent customer service to facilitate efficient and sensitive communication. Information received may be of a confidential or sensitive nature and will require courteous and diplomatic handling.
Qualifications and Experience
* RSA III Word-Processing or equivalent qualification or experience
* Good basic education, including English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
* Administration experience within a busy office environment
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* Previous NHS experience
Skills and Aptitude
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
