Freelance / Permanent Site Agent (Earthworks) Hampshire, UK
Are you a skilled Site Agent with an engineering background and expertise in earthworks and civil engineering? Whether you're seeking a freelance contract or a permanent position, this opportunity offers an exciting challenge within a major infrastructure project in Hampshire.
* The Opportunity:
Joining an established project team, youll play a pivotal role in managing on-site operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and delivering high-quality results. Reporting to the Project Manager and Contract Manager, this position offers the flexibility for experienced professionals to work on a freelance or full-time basis, depending on their preference.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and uphold quality, health & safety, and environmental procedures.
* Prepare and oversee construction plans and schedules.
* Manage budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor agreements.
* Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
* Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers.
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve project challenges.
* Ensure accurate reporting and documentation for project milestones.
* What Were Looking For:
* Degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* Experience as a Site Agent in civil engineering construction (earthworks experience preferred).
* Understanding of NEC4 Contracts.
* Strong problem-solving, commercial awareness, and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project cost management systems.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Ability to work independently and manage teams effectively.
