We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced school environment in West Bromwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual who can hit the ground running and confidently manage a variety of administrative and front-of-house duties.
This role requires prior school-based experience and a strong understanding of administrative systems and safeguarding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the school reception area and acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff
Handling incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries in a professional manner
Maintaining accurate pupil records using systems such as SIMS, ARBOR, and BROMCOM
Supporting attendance monitoring and reporting
Assisting with safeguarding procedures, including DBS checks and record keeping
Managing diaries, appointments, and meeting schedules
General administrative duties including filing, data entry, and document preparation
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a school administration role is essential
Strong working knowledge of SIMS, ARBOR, and BROMCOM
Understanding of safeguarding procedures within an educational setting
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
A proactive and reliable approach to work
Important Information:
No training will be provided - candidates must be experienced and able to perform the role immediately
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred
Candidates without a DBS must be willing to obtain and pay for one
