As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
For you, that will mean planning and implementing care that gives our residents a sense of security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care and influencing the team positively. Whether showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping at mealtimes, or talking to a resident’s family, you’ll do so with kindness.
Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships within your team.
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent, with experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You’ll understand good record keeping, manage your time effectively, and communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
