Opened in September 2024, Ormston School provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. Your Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering well-structured lessons that cater to the diverse needs of your students.
* Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on the learning progress and achievements of your pupils.
* Adapting your teaching methods to inspire and motivate students.
* Setting high standards that challenge and promote good progress outcomes.
* Preparing learners for external tests and adapting learning for those with SEND.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subject areas is preferred.
* A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and adapt teaching to meet their needs.
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
* Good ICT skills to support learning.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time, term-time only position with a salary range of £28,000 - £39,520. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by Polaris Community.
