Project Quality Engineer – Well Systems
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining quality systems, rules, and processes to ensure that internal and external requirements are fulfilled for Well Systems projects.
Responsibilities
* During EPC (Engineering Procure Construct) tendering and project execution phases, verify contractual and regulatory requirements are fulfilled and maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
* Monitor compliance with codes, standards and customer specifications (API, ASME, ISO, ASTM, NACE, DNV).
* Prepare and present quality‑related reports such as QA/QC dashboards and final documentation dossiers for client approvals, including investigation and improvement reports.
* Identify opportunities for quality improvement through lessons learned and root cause analysis.
* Promote a culture of quality awareness and provide training and mentoring to project staff on QA/QC practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field (advantageous).
* Strong experience in QA/QC roles within oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing or energy sectors, with relevant experience in QA Engineering.
* Experience conducting Pre-Production/Pre-Inspection meetings with client.
* Experience leading an investigation/RCA on customer-related non-conformity.
* Proficiency in PowerPoint presentations.
* Project and vendor auditing experience.
* Confidence in facilitating meetings and investigations or reviews.
* Strong knowledge of EPC project lifecycle and relevant internal standards (ASME, API, ISO, DNV, etc.).
* Product knowledge in Subsea Production Systems is an advantage; knowledge in Pressure Testing, Factory Acceptance Test and Integration Test preferred.
* Experience with vendor inspections preferred.
* Certification in ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and/or ASQ CQE preferred.
* Ability to consider traveling – minimal (10% per month on a need basis).
* Permanent work permit in the UK.
