Senior editor / editorial associate (native in english) - athens-based

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Editor/Editorial Associate, experienced in publishing English content, who will be responsible for commissioning, developing, reviewing, editing, and proofreading our Business & IT products (e.g., ITIL, PRINCE2, DevOps Institute).


Responsibilities

* Develop, edit and proofread content to ensure alignment with product specifications, instructional design specifications, structure and language consistency, and high-quality standards.
* Work closely with subject-matter experts, commissioning editor, product development, and product management to ensure that core guidance aligns with the product specification.
* Source and liaise with subject-matter experts (SMEs) and external partners integral to product development.
* Coordinate with internal and external teams (designers, product team, marketing, printing) to ensure successful development and delivery of products.
* Monitor the process and report to the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specifications.


What we look for

* Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
* 3+ years in a similar publishing role, including experience in managing SMEs and learning assets (Books, Digital Content, Training Materials).
* Exceptional copywriting, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines, strong teamwork and project management skills.
* Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) & content creation for learning platforms; asset.
* Native or excellent command of English (C2 level certification preferred; LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL a plus).
* Familiarity with current technology tools, including AI-assisted content creation.
* Knowledge of PRINCE2 or ITIL qualifications is advantageous.
* Advanced computer literacy; ECDL Advanced desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; well-organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced publishing pipeline.
* Ability to identify potential issues early and escalate as needed, and to navigate/ negotiate competing demands across the business.

Work on SELT (Secure English Language Tests) and background checks

Any person engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a background check acceptable to PeopleCert and the Home Office (HO) before starting duties. All SELT personnel will complete a declaration disclosing any criminal record or bankruptcy. UK-based background checks may include DBS, Right to Work, BPSS/CTC, financial checks, and employment references. For work outside the UK, checks will be equivalent. Staff must have appropriate English proficiency and, where applicable, comply with official language requirements of the relevant country.
