We partner with educators, Multi Academy Trusts (MATs) and education organisations across the UK, providing a proven sales function supported by a strong market capability, high-quality leads and a market-leading product.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager to lead, coach and develop our growing sales team while also driving personal revenue contribution. This role is central to achieving our ambitious growth plans, converting high volumes of warm leads, and ensuring a high-performing, consultative sales function. You will be responsible for structuring, refining and optimising sales processes while ensuring the team consistently hits targets and develops professionally. Collaboration across Marketing and Education teams is vital.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Team Management
* Manage, coach and develop a team of 4 Sales Executives (including new starters).
* Build a performance-driven culture with clear structures, accountability and support.
* Identify and close skill gaps, raising the overall capability of the team
* Sales Delivery and Personal Contribution
* Personally drive deals from demo to close, achieving individual sales targets.
* Deliver consultative, high-value sales conversations with education leaders.
* Support the team in lead conversion from webinars, conferences and partnerships (e.g., GL Assessment, PiXL).
* Sales Strategy & Growth
* Contribute to and execute sales strategies to achieve annual revenue targets.
* Refine and improve systems and processes to scale sales activity.
* Maximise warm lead conversion from a strong sales funnel and marketing function.
* Identify and secure opportunities for MAT-level deals, expanding Alps’ footprint.
* Collaboration & Reporting
* Work closely with Marketing and Education teams to ensure alignment and impact.
* Provide clear and accurate reporting to the SLT and CEO on team performance and pipeline.
* Drive adoption and effective use of CRM tools (Zoho).
About You
We are looking for someone who is both a sales leader and practitioner—able to set the direction, coach a junior team who is also an individual contributor to closing sales and leading from the front.
* Proven track record of managing and developing sales teams.
* Strong background in consultative B2B sales, ideally in education, SaaS or a complex product/service environment.
* Demonstrated ability to drive personal sales success alongside managing a team.
* Highly skilled in using CRM systems (Zoho, Salesforce, or similar) and sales analytics.
* Strong collaborator and team player, comfortable working cross-functionally.
* Ambitious, commercial and motivated by scaling revenue growth.
