You’ll carry out inspections, manage contractors, and use data to drive improvements, playing a key role in delivering great places for customers and communities to thrive. Salary: £35,151.73 per year * Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract, full time Your week: 36.25 hours Monday – Friday 9am – 5.15pm Location: Hybrid with a weekly presence in Derby. Covering the Birmingham and Walsall areas (*As of 1 April 2026, this salary will increase by 3.6%.) Snapshot of your role Carry out routine inspections of internal and external estate areas, assessing condition, quality, and compliance with standards and regulations. Maintain accurate records using Dynamics 365 CRM, producing reports with findings, issues, and recommended actions. Monitor grounds maintenance and cleaning services, identifying improvements and implementing corrective actions where required. Identify health and safety risks across estates and take appropriate action to mitigate hazards and ensure safe environments. Manage customer feedback and complaints, ensuring responses are handled in line with policies and deliver a positive customer experience. Work collaboratively with internal teams and contractors to maintain high estate standards and support service delivery, including new developments and customer initiatives. Forecast, monitor, and report on budgets, while identifying efficiencies, improving data quality, and supporting sustainable and value-for-money service delivery. What we’re looking for Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field Strong knowledge of plant species, turf management, and landscape design principles Experience of project and contract management, procurement processes, administration, and compliance Knowledge of estate inspection processes and service quality standards Excellent observational, analytical, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail Ability to manage data, records, and reports accurately Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Customer-focused and service-driven approach, with a proactive and organised mindset A full UK driving licence and DBS clearance are both essential for this role.
