The Faculty of Law is looking for a part time Administrative Assistant to support the work of its Research Support Team. Reporting to the Senior Research Facilitator, the postholder will assist with a range of administrative duties related to research support, including assisting in the management of the Faculty's Research Support Fund, updating Faculty webpages, and assisting the team with overall clerical support.
The successful candidate will be required to act as a first point of contact for the provision of timely administrative support for a wide range of tasks and processes related to REF and research support, identifying priorities, exercising good judgement in resolving daily problems and awareness of when to consult or refer matters on. In addition, the postholder will work closely with the Research Strategy Support Officer to support the Faculty's preparations for REF 2029.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping; strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, ensuring effective collaboration and information exchange.
This role is part time (0.4 FTE) and fixed term to 31 December 2028. The postholder will be based at St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford. The Law Faculty supports hybrid working, the postholder will be required to be on site for at least 40% of their working week.
