SEND Consultant – Swindon (Fully Remote) Rate per day: £449.99 per day Hours per week: Full Time Contract Working arrangements: Fully remote We are currently supporting a Local Authority in Swindon who are seeking an experienced SEND Consultant to support a key project focused on testing and developing a financial banding framework for specialist provision. This is a fully remote contract and would suit a highly experienced SEND professional with strong analytical and reporting skills who can work independently and deliver high-quality outputs. Role Purpose The successful consultant will lead the rigorous testing of a proposed SEND financial banding framework and design a clear, transparent cost library for specialist provision. The aim is to ensure funding decisions are fair, evidence-based and financially accurate. The role will also consider the implications of the upcoming national SEND reforms and the Schools White Paper, ensuring the work aligns with national direction and supports a smooth transition for the local authority. Key Requirements Significant experience working within a Local Authority SEND service Strong experience working closely with schools and operational SEND practice Proven ability to deliver complex work independently Experience producing high-quality professional reports In-depth understanding of statutory SEND processes Skills & Competencies Excellent analytical and data-handling skills Strong written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information Highly organised with strong attention to detail Ability to interpret national SEND reforms and translate them into practical local implementation Desirable Experience Experience designing or testing SEND banding models Familiarity with the Schools White Paper and national SEND funding reforms Experience with cost modelling or resource allocation tools Why work through Pertemps?
