What does the role involve?
We’re looking for a skilled .NET Developer with strong experience in C# and backend development to join our growing technology team. You’ll be responsible for building scalable, maintainable solutions using .NET technologies and leveraging cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability applications using C#.
2. Build RESTful Web APIs to facilitate communication between front-end and back-end systems.
3. Implement Azure Functions for serverless computing solutions.
4. Utilise Azure API Management (APIM) to create, document, and manage APIs in a secure and scalable environment.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions within the Hastings Direct infrastructure.
6. Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews and deployment processes.
7. Stay current with the latest .NET and Azure features to drive innovation within the company.
Skills we would love you to have:
8. Proficient in C# with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
9. Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications using .NET Core / .NET 6+.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
11. Understanding of the software development lifecycle and continuous improvement practices.
12. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and tools such as Octane, Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
13. Comfortable working in Visual Studio and related development tools.
Desirable:
14. Experience with other Azure services such as Azure Functions, Application Insights, App Configuration
15. Knowledge of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
16. Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, and mocking tools like Moq.
17. Relevant Azure certifications
