Role overview
Commercial Officers contribute to cost savings and operational performance improvements across categories, supporting procurement and contract management activities within the BlueLight Commercial team. The primary focus will be supporting the People and Professional Services Pillar, analyzing spend and market data, supporting strategy development, and managing contracts to achieve savings and efficiency targets.

Responsibilities
* Develop and support category strategies throughout their lifecycle.
* Assist in commercial negotiations and liaise with Legal teams.
* Manage low-risk contracts and monitor performance.
* Conduct research and market analysis to inform procurement strategies.
* Prepare business cases and support sourcing activities.
* Build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
* Support financial planning, forecasting, and data analysis.
* Work collaboratively or independently as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Attainment of a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, or at least 2 years’ experience in a commercial environment. Knowledge of RFQ/tender processes, supporting projects through the full lifecycle, negotiations, spend analysis, and stakeholder management. Familiarity with EU regulations and social value tools is desirable.
