We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and diligent Domestic Assistant to join our team at Bassetlaw Day Opportunities. The role involves working across different buildings within the district.
This position is essential in providing exceptional day opportunities by maintaining a clean and safe environment for attendees and staff through high standards of cleaning and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support in cleaning the establishment and maintaining high standards at all times.
* Maintain floor surfaces according to the Authority’s cleaning and janitorial specifications.
* Attend to and clean spillages promptly.
* Deep clean areas on a rotational basis.
* Ensure health and safety of oneself and others.
* Remove waste to external waste facilities and empty litter bins.
* Clean working surfaces and furniture as directed.
* Set out furniture and support session setups for attendees, tidying up afterward.
* Assist the caretaker with logbooks, stock management, and cleaning supplies.
* Clean toilets and washrooms to the required standards.
* Perform all duties with a positive, 'can do' attitude.
Qualifications:
* Willingness to obtain NVQ Cleaning & Building Interiors Standards Level 2.
* Willingness to train in hygiene and safety.
* Basic awareness of Health and Safety protocols.
* Knowledge of operating specialist cleaning equipment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to high standards of hygiene and customer care.
* Flexibility and diplomacy in handling workplace challenges.
* High punctuality and attendance.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
