About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Payroll Manager to join ASHDOWN GROUP in a standalone capacity, based in London with a hybrid working arrangement. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of payroll, benefits, and global mobility operations for the organization. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions including the UK, US, Denmark, Luxembourg, GRC, and Singapore. The role requires a proactive individual with a solid background in payroll administration, a keen understanding of international payroll regulations, and the ability to implement process improvements to streamline operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure compliance with local regulations, deliver accurate and timely payroll, and administer employee benefits programs. Additionally, they will support global mobility initiatives, including international assignments and relocations, contributing to the company’s strategic talent management efforts. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in payroll management, with proven experience in handling international payroll processes. A strong understanding of benefits administration, tax regulations, and social security compliance across multiple jurisdictions is essential. Professional certifications such as a Payroll Certification, CIPD, or equivalent will be advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems, as well as a proactive approach to process improvement, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end payroll process for UK, USA, Denmark, Luxembourg, GRC, and Singapore, including payroll preparation, processing, and validation using outsourced providers.
* Process and report taxable benefits in accordance with applicable tax and social security regulations.
* Coordinate payroll disbursements to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
* Ensure compliance with all tax year-end obligations and reporting requirements.
* Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll queries and liaise with outsourced payroll providers to resolve issues efficiently.
* Develop and implement long-term payroll strategies focused on standardization, automation, and process streamlining to enhance operational efficiency.
* Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations, ensuring seamless delivery and compliance.
* Maintain accurate employee data and benefit content across various HR platforms and systems.
* Manage employee communications related to benefits, including announcements and updates.
* Support global mobility operations by coordinating international assignments, relocations, and related compliance activities.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within payroll and benefits processes, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
