About the Role
The Recruitment Manager is responsible for creating and identifying new business opportunities in the local area by developing strong relationships with employers and bringing new employment opportunities for participants on the Restart Scheme.
Key day‑to‑day responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership by identifying new business opportunities and winning new clients
- Planning and conducting events such as job fairs and employer days
- Providing post‑placement support and account management
- Meeting and exceeding performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Promoting the Restart Scheme within the community, raising awareness of its benefits and impact
- Maximising repeat business opportunities through building and maintaining relationships with employers
- Working closely with Employment Advisers and Skills Trainers to progress participants into work
Key Information
Salary range: £31,500 to £36,500 (pro‑rated for part‑time).
Work hours: Full‑time, with flexibility for part‑time candidates.
Location: Watford, Hemel, and St Albans.
Qualifications
Required:
- Successful track record in a sales, account management or business development role, including face‑to‑face and telephone sales experience
- Demonstrable experience of working to targets
- Willingness to travel locally to meet customers and employers, with good knowledge of the local labour market
- Minimum of two A‑Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma
- GCSE English Language at a minimum Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification), or achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage
Desirable:
- Experience working in recruitment or publicly funded services
- Experience in a customer‑facing environment (e.g., Customer Services, Hospitality, Social Care)
- Interest in people and a willingness to go the extra mile
- Interest in career and personal development
- Fluency in more than one language
