Job Summary
Responsible for the research, provision, and analysis of data used to inform Category Sourcing Strategies and tactical procurement arrangements, including spend data, market data, supplier and supply chain data, product data, service data, and trends.
Job Responsibilities
* Create and maintain an estimating database to predict future spend profiles and opportunities.
* Understand piece part manufacturing process flow.
* Research, track, and predict the cost of items such as materials, transport, labor, and equipment by geographic location.
* Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to maintain market intelligence.
* Support buyers in the assessment of quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame.
* Assess the risk levels associated with a project.
* Assist with bids for new contracts and support the activities of buyers.
Requirements
* Experience in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Aerospace sector.
* Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or Physics.
* Interest or proficiency in understanding global economics.
* Analytical and forecasting skills.
* Ability to read Aerospace engineering drawings and develop cost estimates.
* Data analysis, modeling, and interpretation skills.
* High mathematical ability.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet goals, budgets, and deadlines.
* Proficiency with MS Excel, databases, and MS Office.
* Problem-solving skills.
* Methodical and logical approach.
* Planning and deadline management skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Interpersonal and communication skills.
* SAP experience.
* Knowledge of Category Management and Project Management.
* Stakeholder Management skills.
Travel Requirements
* Occasional travel within the region.
