This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced arboriculture professional to contribute to the management, maintenance, and development of trees and woodlands across Leicestershire.The Role As a Tree Officer, you will provide professional forestry and arboricultural advice, carry out tree inspections, support tree planting initiatives, and assist with the management of tree and woodland assets.Key Responsibilities Carry out tree inspections on highways and other sitesProvide arboricultural advice to colleagues, contractors, landowners, and the publicAssist with tree planting schemes and woodland management projectsPrepare reports, specifications, and maintenance recordsMonitor contractors and oversee tree-related worksIdentify tree species, pests, diseases, and associated risksSupport emergency responses and planned environmental projects when requiredMaintain accurate records and assist with database managementRequirements Previous experience in arboriculture, forestry, or tree managementKnowledge of tree inspection and maintenance practicesAbility to identify common tree species, pests, and diseasesStrong communication and report-writing skillsWhat's On Offer?
