Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teaching Assistant to join in September. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a recent English graduate to gain valuable experience in an educational environment and contribute to the development of students' language and literacy skills.
Responsibilities:
* Assist English teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that foster a love for literature and language among students.
* Provide individualized support to students who require extra assistance with reading, writing, and comprehension.
* Contribute to the creation of a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to express themselves.
* Help develop instructional materials and resources to enhance the teaching and learning of English language and literature.
* Assist with grading assignments, providing feedback to students, and tracking their progress over time.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree English or a related field.
* Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
* Passion for literature, language, and education, with a desire to inspire and empower students.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students in a positive and supportive manner.
* Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential.
