About the job
* You will be responsible for operational and strategic management of the busy site’s logistics and planning 365 days a year– covering raw materials supply and movement, product storage, packaging and distribution (managing the 3PL relationship). Heading the Logistics, Planning and Packing team of circa 30.
* Reporting to the Site Director, you will be an integral part of the Management team. You will be responsible for defining the overall logistics & planning strategy at the site and be able to take hands-on action when issues occur.
Furthermore, you will
* Ensure a high degree of employee satisfaction, involvement, development and performance.
* Establish a safety-first focus across planning, packaging and warehouse environments.
* Define and follow up on KPIs and ensure lean processes.
* Work closely with the site management group to secure optimal site operations.
* Communicate with suppliers and global sales divisions to align supplies, production plans and sales forecasts.
Who are you?

* You probably have a few years of experience within logistics, planning and stock management in FMCG environments (be it food, drink, chemicals or other high-volume processing sectors) and understand the operational hands-on aspects as well as how to drive strategic optimisations.
* You have experience with people management and know how to engage your employees.
* You have experience with gathering, processing and presenting large data sets in a digestible format.
* You have experience with SAP or other leading ERP/MRP systems and know the lean principles.
