Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of an experienced and established integrated multi-disciplinary team. The team is made up of a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Support Time Recovery Worker, Employment Support Worker with further support from Admin. This post is for 3 days a week, specifically Wednesday to Friday. The post holder will work as part of an established integrated multi-disciplinary team based at Yeatman Hospital, Sherborne, and covering the surrounding area. The role requires a valid driving licence and use of a car to assess and monitor patients in their own homes and other community settings as well as at the CMHT base.
Responsibilities
* Provide a comprehensive accessible and responsive mental health service to Adults and their families within a defined locality.
* Support the team and locality leader in the implementation of the DHUFT Mental Health Strategy.
* Continually develop clinical, team and service evaluation and the delivery of the service.
* Contribute to effective multi-disciplinary working within the Community Mental Health Service and build effective liaison with community, primary, other secondary and tertiary services and agencies to provide a holistic care package based on individual needs and service development.
* Provide informal and formal clinical and managerial supervision to other staff, health care support workers and students (qualified and unqualified).
Requirements / Qualifications
* Reliable, committed, dynamic and motivated professional with excellent communication and organisational skills; able to prioritise work.
* Experience in a community mental health environment is useful but not essential; ability to apply the philosophies of engagement and recovery in work with service users.
* Current valid driving licence and access to a car for home and community-based assessments.
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; the Trust will cover the cost of this check. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate in lieu of a new check.
* Applications from candidates who require Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible to apply.
