Overview of the Role:
As a DSA Assessor, you will conduct assessments via phone or video call, working closely with students to identify strategies and support tailored to their individual needs. You’ll then produce detailed reports that meet relevant guidelines and standards, helping to ensure students receive the assistance they need.
While the role is primarily home-based, occasional travel for client meetings or internal team sessions may be required, in line with business needs and company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct structured remote assessments with students to identify study support needs, including Non-Medical Helper (NMH) and travel support if applicable.
* Evaluate and recommend appropriate assistive technology, hardware, software, and other aids.
* Prepare clear, accurate, and timely needs assessment reports, aligned with official guidance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Handle post-assessment queries from students or funding bodies within designated timeframes.
* Conduct follow-up reviews of students’ support needs when required.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
* At least 1 year of experience conducting DSA assessments.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Excellent IT proficiency.
* Ability to organise and manage your workload effectively.

* Problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
* Reliable, punctual, and flexible.
* A clear understanding of confidentiality and data privacy requirements.
