We operate an impressive, state-of-the-art 2.5 million square foot Distribution Centre in Shirebrook, one of the most advanced warehouses in the UK. We are seeking talented individuals passionate about continuous improvement and innovation to join our Warehouse Team.
We are proud partners of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in our Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O WMS project, transforming warehousing and fulfillment at Frasers.
Your primary responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with leads and architects to translate requirements into scalable solutions based on Dynamics 365 F&O and Microsoft platform, managing epics into stories and tasks.
2. Configuring and customizing Dynamics F&O modules related to supply chain management and retail.
3. Developing custom solutions within Dynamics F&O using X++ and C#, integrating with other business systems.
4. Creating applications and integrations utilizing modern technologies such as Azure, Power Platform, and Fabric.
5. Designing and extending functionality with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL (Cosmos DB).
6. Implementing modern engineering principles, including microservices, API-first, and event-driven systems.
7. Maintaining technical documentation like design specs and end-user guides.
8. Participating in code reviews and mentoring peers to foster collaboration and innovation.
9. Staying updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to improve our solutions.
10. Ensuring support for critical systems during platform transitions and building necessary integrations.
We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement (2 days remote, 3 days in-office) in Shirebrook, Nottinghamshire. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

What we are looking for:
* 5+ years' experience with C# in a modern software engineering environment.
* 3+ years' experience with Dynamics 365 F&O and Azure solutions.
* Strong background in C# and X++ development, with expertise in extensions and integrations.
* Experience with Azure services like Functions, Blob Storage, and Event Grid.
* Proficiency with SQL Server (2012+) and T-SQL, including stored procedures.
* Knowledge of event-driven architectures and caching solutions such as Redis.
* Understanding of modern engineering principles like microservices and event-driven tech.
* Ability to interpret specifications and translate them into development tasks.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Problem-solving mindset with initiative and creativity.
* Experience with agile tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello.
Highly desirable skills include experience with CI/CD tools, Kafka, Power Platform, Azure Data tools, front-end frameworks, and Oracle PL-SQL.
