What You'll Be Doing
* Assist the project team in the acquisition of asset, topographical, production or as‑built surveys and in the provision of control and setting out on the project
* Process, calculate, and verify subcontractor production
* Produce or check machine control models and validate subcontractor models
* Collate as‑built information from subcontractors
* Manage survey control stations throughout construction
* Align engineering staff to standardised survey requirements for consistency across delivery
* Maintain and inspect survey equipment, ensuring annual inspections and site checks are completed on time
* Implement and manage surveying requirements for the project
* Establish and manage a survey control network across the site
* Ensure new surveying requirements are shared within the internal team and with subcontractors
* Assist the valuation calculation of subcontractor works by verifying production rates in line with commercial teams
* Produce, collate, store, and output as‑built information as part of the quality assurance process
* Control and maintain all survey equipment in line with the Company’s procedures
* Produce or verify machine control models used on the project, ensuring they are current and issued for construction
* Demonstrate the Balfour Beatty Core behaviours: collaborate relentlessly and maintain a relentless focus on Zero Harm
Who We're Looking For
* Knowledge and experience with current survey software, including production and management of machine control models
* Experience on substantial earthworks projects
* High levels of competence in modern survey equipment, including GPS base station set‑up shared between multiple stakeholders
* Prepared to assist in developing engineering staff so they can complete survey tasks to a defined process
