You'll be the one who sorts MOTs and keeps them ticking over smoothly, all while respecting manufacturer standards for every task from brakes and diagnostics to exhausts and servicing. You'll be more than a technician; you'll be a trusted face in the workshop, ensuring each vehicle leaves reliably road-worthy. About the Client This family-run, independent garage has been a pillar of Caerphilly since 2004, operating from a well-appointed workshop on Pontygwindy Industrial Estate. Theyre AA-certified and part of the AutoCare network, known for delivering work thats honest, dependable, and backed by guarantees. Customers aren't just a number theyre greeted like neighbours. No weekends Key Duties Conduct MOT tests with meticulous attention. Diagnose mechanical or electrical faults. Perform servicing and repairs in line with manufacturer specs. Communicate clearly with customers explain work, give updates, manage expectations. Keep track of paperwork and test results, uphold AA and Auto Care standards. Occasionally assist with customer pickup/delivery arrangements or courtesy car logistics. Key Requirements Valid MOT Tester accreditation. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician servicing, fault-finding, repairs. Sound understanding of MOT regulations and safety standards. NVQ Level 3 Qualifications
