Role Title: Lecturer in Resilience
Location: Deeside
Contract Type: Part time 50% Fixed term - 26th June 2026
Salary: £32,304 - £49,934 (this is the full time salary, salary will be pro rata depending on working pattern) Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine
We currently have a vacancy for a Resilience Lecturer in the Foundation Learning Directorate of Coleg Cambria, based at our Deeside Campus.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer to join our team at Coleg Cambria on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the online resilience course to our learners who have experienced low engagement with their studies due to several barriers such as mental health issues.
Lecturers will provide one-on-one meetings to discuss future goals and support learners in their transition back into Further Education (FE) courses. These meetings can take place in person when learners feel they are ready to attend college.
Essential Requirements
1. A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification
2. Educated to a minimum Level 5 qualification
3. Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching
4. Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
5. Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment
6. Be able to analyse and use key information to inform teaching and learning
7. Be able to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques
8. Recognises and makes students aware of their strengths and development needs
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
