Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a high-volume food manufacturing site. They’re committed to developing and investing in their people and this role is a mix of planned maintenance, fault-finding, and project work, with a focus on improving reliability and supporting the site’s CI agenda.
About the Role:
Working as part of a shift-team of seven engineers, some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, diagnosing and resolving breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.
* Supporting mechanical and electrical engineering activities.
* Working on installation and modification projects to improve plant performance.
* Ensuring strict Health & Safety and Food Safety standards are adhered to at all times.
* Contributing to continuous improvement, focusing on improving efficiencies and reducing waste.
Shift Pattern – 4 on/off (2 days/nights)
About You:
* Apprentice-trained Engineer, ideally with an electrical bias, with experience of planned/reactive maintenance, ideally within Food or FMCG manufacturing.
* Proactive, methodical approach with strong fault-finding skills.
* Good communication and teamwork – you’ll be working closely with production and technical teams.
* PLC programming skills would be ideal but are not essential.
* 18th Edition and other qualifications, such as Food Safety and IOSH, would be an advantage.
