Role overview
Our client is looking for a forward-thinking IT Solutions Architect to join a dynamic technology team supporting digital transformation across the utilities sector. This role will focus on designing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across Azure cloud and infrastructure platforms, with the opportunity to influence enterprise architecture and drive innovation.
Your new role
Design and deliver end-to-end IT solutions across cloud, infrastructure, and integration layers
Lead architecture efforts for Azure-based platforms, ensuring alignment with business and security requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, operations, and business units to translate requirements into technical designs
Define infrastructure blueprints, integration patterns, and deployment strategies for enterprise-scale systems
Provide architectural governance and technical leadership across project lifecycles.
Support digital initiatives within the utilities' domain, including smart metering, asset management, and customer platforms
Contribute to cloud migration strategies and infrastructure modernisation roadmaps
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience as a Solutions Architect in enterprise IT environments
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, security)
Solid background in infrastructure architecture, including hybrid and on-premise environments
Experience working in or with the utilities sector (energy, water, telecoms, etc.)
Familiarity with Salesforce architecture and integration is a plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF)
What you'll get in return

£800 - 875 per day rate inside IR35 (via Umbrella)
