In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking for a Loads Engineer to join our growing team for an initially 12-month fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
Load calculations used for sizing study of future aircrafts or for major MODs. Determination of:
* Ground loads (Landings, Brakings, Turns, Rollings, ...)
* Flight loads (Longitudinal and Lateral Manoeuvres, Load Alleviation Functions, Gust, Failure cases ...)
* Component loads: calculation of the loads on specific parts (NCF, HTP, Ailerons, pylon, ...)
* Aeroelastics calculation (Flutter calculations, control surfaces limit cycle oscillations)
Requirements
* Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering degree
* Technical skills:
o Flight Physics, Flight Loads, Ground Loads, Aeroelastics, Aerodynamics
o Know the behavior of an airplane, to have physical sense
o Coding: vbA, Python
o Tools: Matlab
o Strong ability to plan and schedule activities across multiple modules
o Effective communication skills, able to clearly define expectations and gain understanding
o Team spirit with a capacity to interact with multicultural teams
