Job Title : French Divestiture Technical Project Manager Location : Birmingham (3 days on site) Salary/Rate : £400 Inside IR35 Start Date : 16/06/25 End Date : 28/11/25 Job Profile - French Divestiture Technical Project Manager The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing a high volume of deliverables to urgent timescales, working as part of a large programme team overseeing the divestiture of a French business unit. This role requires strong leadership in both project execution and technical coordination, with particular focus on managing the separation of systems, infrastructure, and business functions from the parent organisation. Essential Skills: Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programmes on schedule - ideally within divestiture, M&A, or business separation environments. Direct experience managing divestitures, carve-outs, or M&A separations, particularly in regulated or financial services environments. Accountability for end-to-end delivery of transition activities, including technical separation and integration with acquiring entities. Strong technical understanding of infrastructure technologies, connectivity, and enterprise systems (e.g. network separation, data migration, TSA planning). Deep understanding of stakeholder engagement across cross-functional domains (IT, Legal, HR, Finance, Compliance). Experience working with French stakeholders, legal frameworks, and regulatory considerations related to divestiture activity. Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Strong planning and organisation skills to coordinate multiple streams of work concurrently. Expertise in risk and issue management, with a proactive approach to problem solving. Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills. Experience navigating large and complex global organisations, ideally involving global delivery teams. Good time management and ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience working within or delivering projects for banking clients. Desirable Skills: Broader experience within financial services, particularly involving regulated environments and client-facing infrastructure. Experience of delivering projects involving global teams or cross-border operations, especially within the EU. Familiarity with Transition Service Agreements (TSAs), French legal and regulatory practices, and data compliance (e.g. GDPR).
