Andersen James are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major utility-scale solar park in the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the UK’s renewable energy transition, delivering a project that will power thousands of homes with clean, green energy.
This is a consulting assignment expected last around 18 Months.
This role has been deemed OUTSIDE IR35 - allowing you to work through a LTD company should you wish to do so.
🔧 Your Role:
As Project Manager, you’ll oversee the end-to-end delivery of the solar park, from pre-construction planning through to commissioning and handover. You’ll manage timelines, budgets, contractors, and all project stakeholders to ensure smooth, compliant, and timely delivery
âś… Key Responsibilities:
* Lead project planning, execution, and reporting activities
* Manage contractors, EPCs, and internal teams onsite and remotely
* Oversee HSE, quality, and compliance with DNO and regulatory requirements
* Monitor construction progress, manage risk, and resolve onsite issues
* Ensure project milestones are met within time and budget
* Maintain regular communication with senior management and stakeholders
🧩 What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience delivering large-scale solar PV or renewable infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of UK construction, HSE, and grid connection processes
* Excellent stakeholder and contractor management skills
* Ability to work onsite 2 days per week in South East England and travel as needed
* Relevant qualifications in engineering, project management, or construction
🎯 Preferred:
* Experience working on DNO or NationalGrid-connected sites
* Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS) is a bonus
* PM accreditation (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, PMP)
