Logistics Manager
Location: Bridgnorth, Shropshire (occasional travel to Cannock)
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 + package (DOE)

The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and respected player in the specialist plant hire sector, is looking for a Logistics Manager to take full ownership of its transport and logistics operations.
This is a senior leadership role, managing a small team responsible for coordinating the movement of heavy plant to project sites across the UK, scheduling operators, and supporting end-to-end hire processes from enquiry through to contract.
Key Responsibilities

Lead a logistics team handling transport planning, operator scheduling, and accommodation.

Liaise with hauliers to arrange efficient delivery/collection of plant equipment.
*
Manage the driver/operator rota, including holidays and availability.
*
Oversee and improve internal tracking systems and spreadsheets.
*
Support quotation and contract processes for incoming enquiries.
*
Drive improvements in operational efficiency and team performance.
*
Report directly to the Operations Director, with input to senior management.
Requirements
*
Proven experience in logistics or transport coordination, ideally within plant hire or construction.
*
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
*
Confident working with data, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools.
*
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency.
*
Based within commuting distance of Bridgnorth; occasional travel to Cannock required.
