Accounts Receivable Assistant – Belfast | Full Time
Reed Accountancy and Finance is pleased to be working with a highly successful and prestigious organisation operating within the public sector. A new opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Assistant, to join on a fulltime, permanent basis.
Offering a competitive salary and benefits, the successful Accounts Receivable Assistant candidate will be responsible for completing the following duties:
Responsible to the Finance Manager the Accounts Receivable Assistant will carry out the following duties:
* Preparation, issuing and recording of invoices
* Posting of receipts from cash, cheque, credit transfer, standing orders, card payments for payments and income streams
* Recording, monitoring and reporting on set income streams
* Preparation, collection and posting of payments by Direct Debit
* Reconciliations of ledgers
* Analysis of debtors ledger
* Carrying out credit control on all debtors ledgers
* Administration of financial support applications
* Responding to queries as appropriate
* Compilation of bank lodgements
* Taking lodgements to bank
* Provide cover for general administration duties including response to telephone and personal enquiries during times of holiday or other absence.
* Other duties as may be reasonably requested throughout the year.
Essential experience
* Minimum 6 months accounts experience
* Proactive and focused on delivering a high quality of service
* Good organisational ability with time management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* IT Proficient, confident using systems and MS Office packages
* High level attention to detail and accuracy while working to deadlines
