Individual Placement Support Worker (Employment Specialist)
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a project aimed at supporting service users on their individual recovery journey. You will play an integral role in providing high quality clinical care for patients across North Lincolnshire.
The Employment Specialist will advise patients on workplace options, support them in returning to work, and help them stay employed. The successful candidate will develop partnerships with employers, local providers, and services to ensure employment support needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Help patients identify and consider options for returning to work and staying in work, and set their own personal job goals.
* Ensure patients have access to employment law advice and are supported to exercise their rights under the Equality Act; work closely with employers on complex job retention issues, including cases of discrimination.
* Teach employability skills to patients on a one‑to‑one basis and in group workshops (e.g., CVs, interview skills).
* Keep up to date with local and national labour‑market trends, education and training opportunities, welfare benefit changes, and employment law relevant to people with mental health conditions.
* Work as part of a team, sharing knowledge and expertise, and contribute to team meetings and service development activities.
