Civil Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join a progressive civil engineering consultancy. You will work on a variety of civil and housing projects, supporting the design, planning, and delivery of infrastructure schemes while developing your professional skills.
Responsibilities
* Assist as Project or Assistant Project Engineer on small to medium-scale civil and housing projects.
* Prepare and check road and drainage design calculations using PDS, WINDES, or equivalent software.
* Contribute to Flood Risk Assessments (Phase 1 and 2) and water main designs for submission to Scottish Water.
* Monitor project budgets and programmes, ensuring quality of drawings and technical documentation.
* Coordinate approvals with regulators and liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals.
* Conduct civil infrastructure surveys and prepare technical reports.
* Support site inspections, reviewing contractor drawings, design proposals, and method statements for compliance.
* Mentor and coach junior staff, providing guidance on technical matters.
* Undertake risk assessments and assist in providing Principal Designer services under CDM regulations.
About You
* Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* Experience in roads, drainage, and civil infrastructure design.
* Skilled in PDS, WINDES, or similar design software.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and professional approach to clients and stakeholders.
* Enthusiastic about mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development.
