Our Client
Our client is an established but evolving financial services business, now looking to strengthen its internal infrastructure to support continued expansion.
They are looking to recruit a Finance Transformation Manager to both support the existing finance function and to facilitate the next stage of their growth. This is a hands-on role focused on strengthening the finance function and ensuring it is fit for a regulated, scaling business.
The successful candidate will work across the organisation to improve processes, enhance reporting and create a robust financial platform. This could be an interim or permanent placement.
Finance Transformation Manager – The Role
As Finance Transformation Manager you will play a central role in reviewing, strengthening and evolving the finance function.
You will be required to get into the detail, whilst also being a confident communicator who can work effectively with senior stakeholders and present clear financial insight.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Managing the existing finance team;
· Providing sound financial and commercial input to support business decision making;
· Reviewing the current finance structure, processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement;
· Enhancing the quality, clarity and timeliness of management information;
· Strengthening financial controls and governance in line with FCA requirements;
· Supporting the ongoing development and optimisation of finance systems and reporting tools;
· Improving core finance processes to ensure they are efficient, scalable and well documented;
· Working collaboratively with risk, compliance and operational teams to ensure financial processes support wider business objectives;
· Building strong working relationships with key external stakeholders including auditors, lenders and HMRC;
· Reviewing the capability and structure of the existing finance team, providing leadership, coaching and development to ensure the team is well positioned for future growth.
The Successful Applicant
As Finance Transformation Manager you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) ideally with experience operating in a regulated financial services environment. You will be comfortable working within an SME and balancing strategic thinking with hands on delivery.
Ideally you will demonstrate:
· Experience improving finance processes, controls and reporting within a growing business;
· Strong systems awareness and an interest in driving better use of finance technology;
· An understanding of FCA reporting and compliance requirements;
· Strong analytical, presentation and Excel skills;
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders;
· Commercial acumen and a practical approach to problem solving;
· A pragmatic, self motivated and proactive mindset.
