Responsibilities
* Supervise and engage children in safe, fun, and age-appropriate activities
* Support children's social and emotional development through play and conversation
* Ensure the environment is welcoming, inclusive, and well-organised
* Work collaboratively with other staff to maintain high standards of care
* Be flexible to extend hours if demand increases; this role is classified as regulated activity and is subject to an enhanced DBS check
* All pre‑appointment checks will be carried out in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025 including identity verification, right to work checks, and references
* Applicants must disclose any relevant information that may affect their suitability to work with children
* We retain recruitment documentation in line with current data protection and safeguarding guidance
Qualifications
* Experience working with children (in a school, nursery, or similar setting)
* A warm, approachable manner and strong communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Childcare) are desirable
