An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software Technical Program Manager to join a high-growth space technology company developing leading-edge satellite communication systems. With teams based across the UK, US, Israel, and Europe, this is a global organisation shaping the next era of connectivity from space.
You’ll be responsible for leading complex software projects that closely interface with hardware, including ASIC/RFIC design and validation. Working alongside world-class engineers and industry experts, you’ll coordinate internal development and supplier delivery across multiple international sites.
You will join a pioneering team at the forefront of innovation in satellite communications, working on technically complex and meaningful programmes with global impact. Based in Farnborough with a hybrid working model, you’ll collaborate internationally with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers, engaging deeply with cutting-edge technology. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead technical programs from inception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring and reporting
* Consolidate and manage cross-functional schedules across software, ASIC and hardware design teams
* Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and managing expectations
* Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies
* Foster strong collaboration across R&D, suppliers and engineering departments
Requirements:
* Experience in project/program management, in a hardware-software integration environments
* Background in satellite, aerospace, defence, or networking sectors preferred
* R&D and HW systems experience is desired
* Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline (MBA beneficial)
* Strong communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Eligibility for BPSS screening (UK security clearance process)
