Lead Solution Architect
£60,000 - £66,000 | Lincoln / Hybrid
A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect to drive digital transformation and shape technical architecture capabilities.
The Role
Report to the Head of Architecture, leading a team of Solution Architects and chairing the Digital Design Authority (DDA). You'll define enterprise-level solution architecture across diverse services, including Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and cloud-native tools.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor Solution Architects across multiple Agile teams
* Develop and maintain strategic architecture frameworks and roadmaps
* Chair the DDA and govern architecture decisions
* Deliver scalable, secure solutions aligned with business needs
* Provide technical assurance of third-party designs
* Support governance, cyber resilience, and cloud optimisation
* Champion modern, product-based service delivery
Essential Requirements
* Proven solution architecture experience with a strong technical assurance track record
* Expert knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and integration standards
* Experience with architectural governance boards
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influence at senior levels
* Understanding of TOGAF, ITIL, and security-by-design principles
* Passion for mentoring and building team capability
