Job Description
An exciting opportunity in the Kennet/Loddon 50‑bed respiratory unit. Care for patients with respiratory conditions such as Type 1 & 2 respiratory failure, COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis. Experience with NIV/CPAP, tracheostomy management, chest drains and nasal high‑flow therapies is desirable.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and review planned nursing care and maintain associated records.
* Function as an effective team member, assisting in management and organisation of work.
* Display effective communication and act as a role model for good practice.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and a well‑maintained ward environment.
* Promote diversity and inclusivity, address discrimination and oppression where identified.
* Comply with Data Protection, Confidentiality and Caldicott principles.
* Use NIV/CPAP, manage tracheostomies, chest drains and nasal high‑flow therapies.
* Support and develop colleagues as required.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
* Registered Nurse.
* Willingness and motivation to increase knowledge of the subject area.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience as a registered nurse.
* Experience in respiratory nursing.
