About the role
* Work closely within multifunctional teams, focusing on the introduction of new products from design concept through to product release into serial production and the marketplace.
* Create and agree on a team Quality Assurance strategy for New Product Introduction (NPI).
* Responsibility for Quality Assurance deliverables within the Gated workbook system.
* Manage risks by inputting risks and driving mitigation solutions on project risk registers.
* Lead Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) on system, design, and process.
* Review product quality historical data and provide reliability predictions.
* Participate actively in design and test reviews.
* Record, track, and manage customer complaints using corrective and preventative actions.
* Manage product/field risk assessments as required.
* The above tasks are typical; other duties of similar nature may be required.
* This is a fixed-term contract for two years.

* Working within a close team of 6 quality personnel, focusing on quality during NPD phases and serial production.
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
* HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline (degree desirable).
* Experience in a Quality Engineering role, preferably in new product development.
* Familiarity with APQP, PFMEA, and PPAP is desirable.
* Understanding of engineering drawings & specifications.
* IT literate; SAP experience preferred but not essential.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently.
* Assertive with excellent communication skills.
* Data-driven decision-making skills.
* Good team player, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Full UK driving license.
* Willing to travel within the UK and abroad.
