The Contracts Manager role:
* Lead operational delivery of response and maintenance contracts in Bristol
* Instill ownership and responsibility in your teams, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget
* Lead and motivate a direct labour team, including Apprentices, supporting their development from within
* Manage recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new team members
* Prioritize health and safety, ensuring measures are in place and monitored
* Ensure resources, including subcontractors, plant, and materials, are available to deliver work as planned
* Build relationships internally and externally, promoting collaboration for contract success
* Produce accurate site reports, implement corrective actions, and maintain up-to-date procedures
* Manage your time effectively to maintain productivity and compliance
What you should bring to the role:
* Experience in high standards of Health and Safety management through system controls and leadership
* Strong planning and organizational skills for successful workstream delivery, resource management, and risk control
* Experience managing direct labour, investing in team development to maximize potential
* Customer-centric approach, delivering consistent satisfaction
* SMSTS qualification and solid knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
* Trade background (NVQ level 2 or equivalent) preferred but not essential
