SEND Teaching Assistant – Barking & Dagenham Are you looking for a new position as a SEND Teaching Assistant in Barking & Dagenham. If so, this may be the perfect position for you. Pertemps Education is working alongside a secondary school who are seeking to appoint an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support students of secondary age in their dedicated SEND resource base. This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent upon review. The daily rate will be between £100 to £110 depending on your experience. About the school: Mixed secondary school and sixth form in Barking and Dagenham Caters for students aged 11 to 18 years old Broad, inclusive curriculum with strong SEND provision Dedicated resource bases for ASD and MLD Rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in 2024 for high standards, inclusive ethos, and excellent SEND support Provides a wide range of enrichment opportunities in sport, humanities, and the arts to enhance students’ personal growth Key responsibilities: Able to work with students in KS3 and KS4 Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups Assisting students with Autism and/or additional learning needs Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption Providing feedback to teachers and parents The ideal candidate: Can work full-time, 5 days a week during term time Can work from 08:30 AM to 03:30 PM Have experience working with students with a range of SEND Be enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential Comfortable working as part of a team and can form relationships How to apply: You can apply for this role below or get in touch with us directly.
