We’re working with a business leading the way in delivering energy-efficient retrofit projects across the UK. With rapid growth and new project wins, they’re looking to expand their Bristol-based commercial team with the addition of a Commercial Executive.
This is a rare opportunity to gain exposure across contracts, cost control, reporting, and pricing - while working directly with project, finance, and procurement teams.
What will you do?
As Commercial Executive, you’ll support the day-to-day commercial function - from contract setup to cash flow tracking and margin protection.
* Administer and review contracts, including variations and pricing
* Monitor project costs and maintain a cash-positive position across multiple projects
* Track supplier spend, commercial KPIs, and work closely with finance on monthly forecasting
* Help develop pricing strategies that support sustainable, consistent margins
* Produce commercial reports and flag financial risks or performance issues
* Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and clients on anything commercial
* Support procurement with supplier negotiations and subcontractor performance
This role would suit someone analytical and commercially minded, who wants to work cross-functionally and make a real impact on delivery performance.
What skills will you need?
* Experience in a commercial support or finance-related role - ideally in retrofit, housing, energy, or construction sector
* Comfortable with cost tracking, pricing, financial reporting, and basic contract management
* Strong Excel skills and able to present data clearly to internal teams
* Confident dealing with suppliers, stakeholders, and commercial leadership
* Detail-focused, commercially aware, and eager to learn
* Knowledge of contracts like JCT or NEC is a bonus - but not essential
