Job Summary The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all on‑site construction activities for the wind farm, ensuring that works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements. The role includes coordinating and supervising subcontractors — including the Balance of Plant (BoP) contractor and the Wind Turbine Supplier — and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and programme standards. This position plays a key role in ensuring contractual obligations are met and that the site is effectively managed across all phases of the project, from early civil works through to mechanical completion and commissioning. Site Management & Supervision Act as the primary on‑site representative supporting the Senior Project Manager, ensuring day‑to‑day construction activities run safely and efficiently. Coordinate and oversee on‑site activities carried out by the BoP contractor, wind turbine supplier, and other subcontractors. Monitor progress against the construction programme and highlight risks or delays promptly. Participate in and occasionally chair site coordination meetings; provide daily updates to the Senior Project Manager on progress, risks, and issues. Support management of site logistics, deliveries, welfare facilities, and plant/equipment utilisation. Quality Assurance Ensure works are delivered in accordance with technical specifications, drawings, and project quality standards. Work with the HSQE Manager to implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), conduct quality checks, and support snagging processes. Identify quality issues early and assist in resolving them, escalating where required. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Promote a strong safety culture across the site and support HSQE-led initiatives such as audits, toolbox talks, and incident reporting. Ensure subcontractors follow approved RAMS and that site safety protocols are consistently applied. Support implementation of environmental controls and adherence to sustainable working practices. Contractual & Stakeholder Coordination Assist the Senior Project Manager in ensuring subcontractors deliver in line with contractual requirements. Monitor and record subcontractor performance, variations, and any non‑conformances. Liaise with the Owner’s Engineer and internal engineering, commercial, and HSQE teams to maintain alignment across workstreams. Act as a point of contact for client representatives and stakeholders during site visits and inspections. Qualifications & Experience Experience as a Site Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Construction Supervisor on large‑scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in utility‑scale onshore wind, electrical infrastructure, or civil engineering projects. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, technical drawings, and quality standards. SMSTS (or equivalent) required; additional safety or technical certifications beneficial. Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills. Proficiency in site reporting, Microsoft Office, and basic project management tools. Other Requirements Site‑based role with flexibility for extended hours during key project phases. Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractor teams. Proactive, hands‑on approach to site leadership, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
