Hillcrestward is a vital service for supporting those with mental health difficulties ofvarying complexities in the local community. The ward is supported by anestablished Medical team who will continue to support the wider MDT.
Hillcrest ward has a number of projects focusingon clinical leadership, operational management and strategic planning whichwill offer many opportunities for professional development. The ward has, andcontinues to have ongoing environmental works which enhance the patientexperience, ward safety and therapeutic facilitation.
Main duties of the job
Deliveringa high quality clinical service to patients and their families.
Acting asnamed nurse to a group of patients under the direction / supervision of theperson identified with continuing responsibility.
Participatingin therapeutic group work programmes.
Takingcharge of the ward in the absence of the ward manager and deputy ward manager.
You willbe responsible for the assessment of care needs and contributing to; theformulation of the person's needs and the development of a relevant plan basedupon the person's negotiated goals and relevant evidence based interventions.
You will,in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team, provide nursing interventionsto support the person to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and/ orparticipate in the review of progress towards those goals, utilisingrecommended outcome measures, involving the service user and any identified carerthroughout the clinical
