Registered Nurse (Preceptor)

We are looking for caring registered nurses to join our exceptional nursing team in our beautiful Rehabilitation Hospitals, located in Haverhill, MA and Bradford, MA.
Essential Duties: To provide exceptional care to all residents including but not limited to:
* Assess physiologic response to interventions and report findings to the interdisciplinary team
* Provides compassionate patient centered care through the development of an individualized plan of care
* Conducts patient rounds, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action
* Administers and documents medication, enteral nutrition and treatment per best practices and accurately records all care provided and observations daily
* Performs comprehensive assessments of each patient on unit
* Assesses on a weekly basis the skin condition, stage, size, site, depth, color, drainage and odor of condition
* Delegates clinically appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff
* Assumes responsibility for compliance with federal, state and local regulations within the assigned unit
* Works collaboratively with Clinical Nurse Managers and/or Director of Nursing utilizing a shared governance model.
* Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to assure that high quality patient care is maintained
In addition to the above essential duties, the following advanced skill sets, experience and job responsibilities are:
* Precepting responsibilities, including:
o Serve as a clinical mentor and role model for new nurses, nursing students, or transitioning staff.
o Facilitate orientation and onboarding by providing instruction, feedback, and support in accordance with unit protocols.
o Evaluate preceptee competencies and progress, identifying learning needs and providing tailored guidance.
o Promote critical thinking and clinical decision-making through case discussions, bedside teaching, and reflective practice.
o Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages questions, skill development, and confidence-building.
o Communicate regularly with unit leadership and educators regarding preceptee performance and any concerns.
o Uphold and model high standards of patient care, professionalism, and ethical practice.
o Assist with developing and refining individualized orientation plans and competency checklists.
* Leads process improvement initiatives in their own unit.
* Contributes to development and evaluation of unit orientation programs.
* Completes required education assignments annually.
* Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
Prerequisites:
* Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse school of nursing, BSN required.
* Current and active RN license in the state of Massachusetts at time of start.
* Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support in accordance with AHS or ARC standards
* ACLS preferred
* Knowledge of Critical Care and Med/Surg preferred
