You will work with the support of our Youth work Coordinator to run the club along with another youth worker and a volunteer. The clubs run on Monday evenings. The junior club runs from 3.15pm - 5pm and a senior club runs from 6.30pm - 8pm. Whilst this position is open to two leaders, one to run each club, we will consider one leader to run both. You will: run youth clubs, planning and facilitating activities with and for young people set up and getting ready for club sessions and packing away at the end of the sessions lead the general youth work at the club such as building purposeful relationships and supporting young people. You will need: A satisfactory DBS (organised by us) Youth work experience, preferably in a youth club setting A desire to work with and support local young people Due to the rural nature of these clubs your own transport to get to and from Rendlesham is essential, including time to pick up equipment from our office in Woodbridge. About us As a well-established local charity, we offer quality youth and children’s work within a Christian ethos. We are running 2 new clubs in Rendlesham, the junior club is for young people in year 6, the senior club is for those in high school, we have a lively group of about 10 to 15 young people attending each of the clubs on a regular basis. The clubs offer a range of activities including games, challenges and crafts. We will offer you: This is an excellent opportunity to work in one of Just42’s rural youth clubs as a session worker. We will offer support and training in safeguarding, first aid and food hygiene along with great youth work experience within a professional team. You will become part of a dynamic team of youth workers providing youth clubs in 5 locations around Woodbridge. There might be an opportunity to work at other clubs on an occasional basis, when others in the team are away or unwell and we need staff cover.
