Accounts Assistant / Purchase Leger Clerk (Part-Time)

McKinty Associates are pleased to be working with Belfast based telecoms service provider who have a requirement for an Accounts Assistant / Purchase Leger Clerk to join our client’s busy Finance team on a Part-Time basis.
** The ideal candidate would be available 3 days per week however other working patterns will be considered **
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Process supplier invoices, matching to purchase orders and delivery notes.
2. Code and input invoices accurately onto the accounting system.
3. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
4. Prepare and process supplier payments (BACS, CHAPS, etc.) in line with agreed schedules.
5. Handle supplier queries promptly and professionally.
6. Maintain accurate filing and electronic records of invoices and payments.
7. Assist with month-end and year-end procedures, including accruals and reporting.
8. Complete daily bank transactions and weekly bank recs.
9. Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties as required.
Eligibility criteria:
10. Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
11. Strong numerical and data entry skills with attention to detail.
12. Good understanding of invoice processing and supplier reconciliation.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage).
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
